Man, I feel you 110%! It’s been rough. I would be lying if I said I haven’t wanted to quit so many times this year - and yet, there’s something that has kept me going.
What is it? It’s you.
For me, I have dedicated over 20 years of my life to one thing: experience. I want to create an experience for people that is memorable, different, intriguing, and most of all, transformational!
Everyday I wake up to a business scoreboard of “0” and I ask myself one question: "how can I make a positive impact on someone's life today!?"
And then, I go and do something about it.
To all of my colleagues and compatriots reading this that are building a business or trying to keep a business afloat, you have a tall order on your hands. You have to keep people “happy” and feeling “good” about what you’re doing. If you don’t, they peace out!
You don't just accomplish this through quick service or being available 24/7. You achieve this through creating a memorable experience, starting with the way people engage with your brand before they use your website, before they see your instagram, before they walk into your restaurant, before they imagine being clothed in your product or service - it starts with the feeling they get when they see you.
The reality is, people are hurting. They need a safe place.
Right now, it's in their homes, but it can also be when they look at your brand. Then, you want them to have that overwhelming sense of calm, believing that they are cared about, seen, and loved.
COVID19 has been hard, it's been challenging, but it has also brought us together in a new way. We will never be the same. The pandemic has brought us closer together. We have more in common now than we ever have.
